Texas Public School Districts in the Afermath of
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita: A Preliminary Report
College Station—A report released
by the Project for Equity, Presentation and Governance (PERG) presents two analyses of
the extent of collaboration Texas school districts engaged in when responding to
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The report presents analyses using data from a
survey of Texas school districts conducted in November of 2005. The data can be downloaded
as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet by clicking the Survey Data link below. When prompted, you can
either open the spreadsheet or save it to your computer. The data consist of the survey
responses from all respondents of all waves of the survey. The data are anonymous as the
district identifiers have been removed. Data with district identifiers will be available
to researchers providing they sign a confidentiality agreement.
The codebook for the data can be downloaded by clicking on the Codebook link below the Data link.
The Codebook provides a brief description for each variable name. Additionally, a summary
of the survey responses can be viewed by following the Survey Summary link below.
